CERTIFR – CERTIFICATE IN INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING
Over 113 countries require or permit the use of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for publicly-traded companies. Many other countries around the world are moving towards applying IFRS.
ACCA’s Certificate in International Financial Reporting Standards (CertIFR) offers a broad introduction to the field, and aims to help you understand how they are used globally. The course and assessment are separate so if you are already applying IFRS at work and want formal recognition of your skills, you can apply to take the online assessment only. But if you just want extra knowledge in the field you can choose to take the course only, or you can complete both.

Our Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR) is for finance professionals who need to acquire more a detailed understanding of IFRS. DipIFR is a fast and efficient solution that will develop your current knowledge in this field. As well as how to apply the standards, you will learn the concepts and principles which underpin them.
You can apply online at any time. When you have paid by credit card, you will get access to the online course and assessments for three months. Typically, a student should take 20 hours to work through the course.
Studying for another qualification as an ACCA member, can count towards your continuing professional development (CPD). The certificate is assessed by a one—hour exam with multiple-choice questions.
The pass mark is 50%.
The fees cover two attempts to re-sit the assessment if you fail but must be taken within three months of accessing the online course. If you do not pass after three attempts, you will need to pay another registration fee to attempt the assessment again, giving you a further three attempts to pass
The exams for the Diploma in International Financial Reporting will be held on:
- 9 June 2017
- 8 December 2017
The fee is £185. This allows one exam attempt in December 2017.

A fee of £185 is applicable until 30 October 2017.
A fee of £299 is applicable 31 October-6 November 2017.
The Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR) is assessed by a single three-hour, 15 minute written exam. You will need to achieve a 50 per cent mark or above to complete the paper. The exam is held twice a year – in June and December at ACCA’s exam centres. Please see the dates and fees tab for the most up-to-date exam dates.
There are two sections to the paper which requires a mix of calculations and written answers. The assessment marks are split as follows:
