Eligibility for CPA Exam

The eligibility for the uniform CPA exam varies by jurisdiction. CPA exam is same for all the jurisdictions and a student can take exam in any jurisdiction irrespective of the registered jurisdiction.  Each jurisdiction has specific requirement for education, experience and residency. Most of the jurisdictions now require 150 semester hours (Master’s level) and certain hours of accounting and business courses.  Some states like Colorado, California, Delaware, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Vermont still allow students with less than 150 semester hours to sit for the CPA exam
